**Buy your tickets before 4:00 on Saturday for $8 and enter your name in a drawing for a Bristol acoustic guitar from the Guitar Finder, Cajon Box Drum from the “Anonymous” Music Store or music lessons from the Columbia Academy of Music!
$10 at the door …Children 7 & under are Free!!

**Trevor Harris, King of Recycling, will be directing the rolling percussion sculpture made by the CARE Gallery in BOTH processions!

**Andrew Tellman and the First Night Drummers will “Make Some Noise!” and drum us into 2012!

**Violet Vonder Haar and The Undercurrents will lead us in Auld Lang Syne at the Grand Finale, Courthouse Square, right before our magnificent fireworks!!

..at all Gerbes locations, Streetside Records, the ARC and downtown Parks and Rec -$8 if purchased before 12/31, 4:00 p.m, $10 at the door, Children 7 and under are FREE! Purchase a button and this gets you into ALL venues!

NEW THIS YEAR!! First Night® Columbia will have a DRAWING FOR PRIZES! This is geared towards our early button buyers! BUTTONS GO ON SALE DECEMBER 1STand all who purchase a button early can enter their name in the drawing to win a Bristol acoustic guitar from the Guitar Finder, music lessons from Columbia Academy of Music or a Cajon box-drum from the “Anonymous” Music Store. You can enter your name for every button purchased. The drawing will be held at the Children’s Finale at 9:30!

This year’s theme is “MAKE SOME NOISE!” along with our tribute theme to our local art’s community “LOCAL EXPLOSION!” ..

LOCAL EXPLOSION!!….
We are excited to announce that this year’s festival is COMPLETELY DEDICATED to our LOCAL ARTS COMMUNITY! First Night traditionally features local, regional and national performers but it has been on the Director’s “wish list” for many years to showcase the powerful and professional talent of our local arts community. THIS IS THE YEAR! You will see current, familiar faces and also experience nostalgic memories from our past. In addition, you will see surprising new faces and talent for the first time on the First Night stages. Get ready for our LOCAL EXPLOSION!!!

REUNION!!!!    People’s Republic of Klezmerica! will be celebrating their first reunion in seven years on our First Night stages! They were one of Columbia’s finest, energetic and creative moments! For the bios on this amazing band and our whole line-up, go to our entertainment page and hit the bio link.

For our first time visitors, First Night® Columbia is a festival that occurs on New Year’s Eve throughout 12 venues in The District, downtown Columbia, MO. The event kicks off with a nationally certified 5K Run/Walk at 4:00 in front of CycleExtreme. The Children’s Art Area opens at 6:30 p.m. at the Calvary Episcopal Church and all of the performance venues open at 7:00. There is a children’s procession and finale with fireworks at 9:15 starting at the City Building. The Grand Finale and Procession starts in front of the Missouri Theatre at 11:30 and processes to the Courthouse Square with fireworks at midnight!
