The entertainment theme for First Night® Columbia 2013 is “IT’S ALL ABOUT THE GUITAR!!”  The language and skill of the guitar is universal as it connects multiple cultures, genres and generations. This year, First Night will feature local, regional and national guitar power players from a wide variety of styles. One of our special features will be acoustic Americana trio, featuring flatpick guitar, “Davis, Miller & May.” Check out their amazing bios!

ENTERTAINMENT UPDATE-MAGIC!- DAVID CASAS

David Casas, Magician,  will be replacing Keith Jozef this year. We will miss Keith and look forward to his return to First Night but in the meanwhile, get ready for the amazing David Casas! Welcome David! David Casas has been entertaining audiences for over 15 years with his Award Winning Magic. He has worked the prestigious stages of Las Vegas, and recently was the opening act for television comedian and actress Loni Love. He has won several First Place honors in magic competitions with his “bring home the gold” dove act. When not touring, you can find him headlining at Casinos, Comedy Clubs, and Universities across the Midwest!

This is geared towards our early button buyers! BUTTONS GO ON SALE DECEMBER 1ST and all who purchase a button early can enter their name in the drawing to win a Bristol acoustic guitar from the Guitar Finder, music lessons from Columbia Academy of Music, a subscription to the national publication-Flatpicking Guitar Magazine, a dinner for two at Bleu Restaurant and Wine Bar or a Cajon box-drum from Crazy Music. You can enter your name for every button purchased. The drawing will be held at the Grande Finale at 11:30, Courthouse Square, and you don’t need to be present to win!
